4-H Youth Development

The following resources outline the current indicators by goal and objective. Each contains the specialist contact, any current resources, guides, or evaluation tools to assist in gathering the information needed to report in AIMS.

FY2025 Goal #1:  4-H Youth Development: Enriching Arkansas children's lives through 4-H Positive Youth Development priority programs, activities, and volunteer development.

# 4-H Objective: Goal: Specialist Contact:
#1 Healthy Living 4-H Healthy Living (Non Snap Ed/EFNEP) will increase knowledge and skills to lead healthy lives that balance physical, emotional and social health. TBD
#2 Yoga for Kids 4-H Yoga for Kids is a youth healthy living program that addresses the physical, social and emotional health of youth. The program is used in a range of settings, including community and school programs to help equip youth to achieve optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being. TBD
#3 Outdoor Skills 4-H Outdoor Skills provides opportunities for youth to acquire knowledge, develop life skills, form attitudes and practice behavior that will enable them to reduce risks and apply life skills through the disciplines of educational recreational activities. Outdoor Skills includes shooting sports, fishing, All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) safety, hunting, outdoor cooking, and other outdoor activities.

#4 Science 4-H youth in the 4-H Science program will develop an understanding of science, engineering, and technology. TBD
#5 Agriculture  Provide opportunities for youth involved in agriculture-related projects that will lead to increased knowledge and application of principles in 4-H animal and poultry sciences, plant sciences and soil science programs, including gardening and horticulture.

#6 Citizenship & Leadership Youth will learn and apply leadership/citizenship life skills through projects and involvement in leadership opportunities. TBD
#7 Volunteer Development Provide high quality, consistent, and accessible 4-H development opportunities and curricula for 4H adult volunteers. TBD
#8 Camping Provide 4-H camping opportunities for adult and youth members.
