Understanding the Value of a Residual Herbicide

In this episode of “In the Weeds”, Dr. Jason Norsworthy discusses the importance of selecting a highly effective residual herbicide to prevent early season weed competition and allow for an effective postemergence herbicide application. Factors that influence the length of residual control with herbicides are discussed. Special attention is given to Palmer amaranth because of its potential for rapid growth following emergence and difficulty in controlling this weed postemergence.
