The effectiveness of metribuzin on Palmer amaranth and waterhemp populations with an array of resistance to herbicides is highlighted along with the need to mix metribuzin with additional chemistries (modes-of-action). Metribuzin rates are discussed based on soil texture and pH. Soybean variety selection for tolerance to metribuzin should be based on information provided by companies or results from the Arkansas Official Variety Test.
