How Extension Impacts Arkansas

Do you know what the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service does in your county?

Many people are aware of the services Extension provides to the agriculture community in Arkansas, but we also provide expertise in other parts of your life such as nutrition, youth development, and economic development.

In all 75 counties in Arkansas, we have agents, volunteers (such as Master Gardeners and EHC), and resources to help you improve your quality of life.

See how we are reaching Arkansans!

County Demonstrations Bring Research Home

Demonstrations are the heart of our outreach – working with producers and the public under real-world conditions. These demos are the proving ground for land grant research and an engine for increased productivity.

An example of a large scale demonstration can be found at our Discovery Farms located in several Arkansas counties where ongoing research and demonstration of best practices are conducted via cooperation with local producers.
