2024 Solar Eclipse: Takeaways from Regional Collaboration for Arkansas

by Brandon Mathews - July 8, 2022

On June 24, 2022, I had the opportunity to join the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce for a regional event to discuss the 2024 solar eclipse. I was privileged to speak to attendees about the Arkansas Business Navigator project and how it could help business owners get ready for the influx of tourists and potential customers by offering FREE, confidential and one-on-one business consulting.

If you are looking for small business support, go to arbusinessnavigator.com or call me at 501-671-2085.

During the presentation, everyone had an opportunity to share who they were and their role in the community. I was surprised to see so many local chambers of commerce and city council members in attendance from the surrounding area. This reminded me of a conversation I had with Shelley Short, vice president of Programs and Partnerships with the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce. If you haven’t watched the video with Shelley, I highly recommend you check it out. It’s full of great insight even if you aren’t with a chamber.

To hear my takeaways and what the Batesville Chamber is doing to promote regionalism, being a catalyst for the community, and more about the 2024 solar eclipse, check out the video below.
