At Last! LeadAR Class 19 Meets Face-to-Face

by Lisa Davis - April 2, 2021

LeadAR Class 19 began their leadership development journey in October through virtual sessions and have waited patiently to meet one another face-to-face. They had their first seminar on March 25-26, 2021 at the C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center.

Class members participated in icebreaker and team building activities through the ExCEL program. These activities were designed to help the class members bond and work together through the fun challenges.

On Thursday evening, they participated in a cultural sharing activity led by former LeadAR director, Dr. Joe Waldrum. The seminar continued with the high ropes course involving harnesses, helmets, and a zip line--a class favorite.

Wrapping up, class members learned about their True Colors spectrum, and how it provides a clear, fundamental way of translating complicated individual perspectives.

The next face-to-face seminar will be May 27-28, 2021 in Hope, Arkansas on the topics of Criminal Justice and Education.
