Arkansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center Success Story: Nation Health, Inc.

by Kim Magee - March 1, 2022

Nation Health photo and logoNation Health, LLC is a Native American, woman-owned surgical and medical instruments company located in Little Rock specializing in medical assistance through various products and services. These products and services include telemedicine, test kits, full line personal protective equipment (PPE) products, and air sanitization, among others.

Buddy Hain, one of Nation Health's four owners, first learned of Arkansas Procurement and Technical Assistance Center's services while at his previous job. He had met Max Franks, a APEX Accelerator counselor who reached out to Hain when he saw a contract he felt Hain’s company could fulfill.

Nation Health became a APEX Accelerator client in June 2021.

The following October, Nation Health received a $1.3 million government contract with The Indian Health Service (IHS), an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services. Nation Health will be providing PPE mainly in the form of cloth and disposable masks for 32 Indian tribes.

Nation Health’s assigned APEX Accelerator Counselor Debra Garcia assisted Nation Health with their System for Award Management (SAM) registration, their North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes, and training to search for bid opportunities.

“Debra was very, very helpful in guiding us through the exacting processing of bidding on a government contract,” Hain said. “She made sure that we dotted our i’s and crossed our t’s, per se.”

Arkansas APEX Accelerator congratulates Nation Health on their government contracting success and wishes them continued success in the future.
