Arkansas Master Gardener Basic Training

Basic training classes for the Arkansas Master Gardener Program are held in various counties across the state.

A minimum of 40 hours of education is given on subjects including:

  • annuals
  • perennials
  • vines
  • trees
  • shrubs
  • vegetables
  • fruits
  • other horticulture related subjects

Classes are a traditional lecture format with teachers and speakers from different areas of the state

For detailed information, contact your county extension office.  Applications go to your county extension office as this is a county volunteer program.  Training class dates and fees vary by county.
