Persons with diabetes and their families often have questions about routine diabetes management skills and, of course, what to eat!  The Living Well With Diabetes is a series of four classes focusing on the following topics:

  • Introduction to Diabetes
  • Preventing Complications
  • Nutrition Management
  • Meal Planning

A cooking demonstration of tasty foods that fit into the diabetes plate accompanies each lesson.  Classes are taught by local County Family and Consumer Sciences Agents and provides science-based information, approved by the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, or the Diabetes Care and Education Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
