On September 1, Jennifer Caraway, Miller County Agriculture Agent, sprayed two 2-acre fields for armyworms. One plot was sprayed with Silencer and the other with Intrepid. Here are the results of that demonstration.

This warm season perennial is in the sedge family and is one of the hardest weeds to control. If you spot one or two small little plants in your yard, don't ignore them. Take a small garden spade or shovel and dig up the entire root system!
