Understanding Weather Essentials for Smoke Management

Beef Cattle Artificial Insemination Training Course
Target: All Employees
Content: This is a two day course in Artificial Insemination in cattle. Complete hands on full
service training in live cows along with lecture of Anatomy and Physiology of male
and female reproductive systems. Also, in-depth training of semen handling, proper
liquid nitrogen storage tank maintenance, thawing and loading semen straws into insemination
guns. The training program will include detection of estrus (heat) of females with
estrus detection aids. Estrous synchronization protocols will be discussed in detail
and breeding supplies will be available for purchase through our partner Select Sires

Diving in to Ag Water: Irrigation, Sampling, and Wellheads

Horticulture Mythbusters
Target: County Agents
Content: This workshop is in response to a survey conducted with county agriculture agents'
requests for information on fruits, vegetables, ornamentals and home gardens. This
workshop will cover common misconceptions and basic issues of problem identification
for horticultural systems across Arkansas. This will include basic identification of problems, insects and common misconceptions.
We will also briefly cover the requirements of organic agriculture to help agents
answer questions. We will wrap up by walking around the state office to observe plants,
pruning and common weeds.
