The objective of this series was to educate and train existing Arkansas veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide more food animal services in their practices as part of the USDA NIFA Veterinary Services Grant Program. To accomplish this, the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service offered short courses that provided continuing education for Arkansas veterinarians and veterinary technicians at no cost. All courses were approved by the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Examining Board. In the future, the workshop will continue when Covid-19 restrictions allow for more hands-on instruction.
