Mission Accomplished: VCG Solutions Wins First VA Prime Contract

by Kimberly Randle and Melanie Berman - February 2, 2026

With military discipline and deliberate precision, VCG Solutions has made a powerful entrance into the government contracting arena. Founded just two years ago, the company launched with a clear and purposeful mission: to thrive in government contracting as a Small Business Administration (SBA)–certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), to employ fellow veterans whenever possible, and to serve and support the veteran community through meaningful, mission-driven work.

VCG Solutions is the brainchild of Air Force and Navy veteran Brian Holbrook, who brought decades of global experience in Health Facility Planning, Medical Service Corps leadership, and project management to the venture. Alongside his original partners—fellow SDVOSB veterans Sheldon Jenkins and Kyle McLeod—Holbrook officially launched VCG Solutions in April 2023. Since then, the company has rapidly distinguished itself as a premier SDVOSB healthcare data analytics firm. The leadership team recently expanded with the addition of Navy veteran Lauren Hill, further strengthening VCG’s veteran-led foundation.

VCG Solutions delivers a comprehensive, high-quality suite of services, including administration and consulting, virtual healthcare solutions, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) planning, interior design, government contract consulting, medical equipment and master planning, project management, and warehouse management and logistics. This broad capability portfolio positions the firm as a trusted partner across complex healthcare and government environments.

Early in its journey, VCG partnered with Kimberly Randle of the Arkansas APEX Accelerator to help guide the company’s growth strategy and contracting success. Together, they focused on positioning VCG to compete effectively as a subcontractor and to establish and perform as part of a Joint Venture entity, VCG-IEI, JV LLP. More recently, Randle assisted VCG in achieving CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) Levels 1 and 2, a critical milestone for working with federal agencies. The company is also actively pursuing a General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule contract.

Holbrook has taken a proactive approach to relationship-building as well. Seeking to connect with local Veterans Affairs leadership in Fayetteville, he attended a VA groundbreaking event to introduce VCG’s capabilities to administrators, program managers, and contracting personnel—further expanding awareness of the firm’s expertise.

In December 2025, VCG Solutions reached a major milestone with the award of its first prime contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16. The contract tasks VCG with providing temporary boiler rental and management services for the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Steam is a mission-critical utility supporting sterilization, laundry, heating, domestic hot water, and clinical operations—directly impacting patient care delivery. Beyond equipment rental, the contract requires rigorous program management, including monthly safety device testing, emissions documentation, state licensing and inspections, detailed operational reporting, and strict adherence to VA policy. The technical complexity of this effort underscores VCG’s depth of healthcare infrastructure expertise.

Securing this first prime contract aligns squarely with VCG’s founding principles and the VA’s Veterans First Contracting Program, which prioritizes contracting opportunities for SDVOSBs and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) to ensure meaningful participation in the VA acquisition process.

One of Holbrook’s first calls after receiving notification of the VA award was to the Arkansas APEX Accelerator.

“We consider Kimberly Randle and the Arkansas APEX Accelerator to be an invaluable resource and a key contributor to VCG’s ability to adapt to the ever-evolving government contracting environment,” Holbrook said. “Their support has been instrumental in our growth and diversification.”
