LITTLE ROCK — The field day in Cherry Valley, originally scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23, has been postponed.

The field day was to be the first of two field days designed to explore the efficacy of using alfalfa cover crops as a method of controlling Palmer amaranth, commonly known as pigweed, in row crop production. The second of the two field days, scheduled for Sept. 9 in Pocahantas, remains unchanged.

You can learn more about the Sept. 9 program at http://bit.ly/2TbcpTb.

We will issue an update when the Cherry Valley field day is rescheduled.
