Southwest AR Scouting School for Row Crop Operations Being Offered

The University of AR System Division of Agriculture in Miller, Lafayette, and Little River Counties are offering a SW AR Scouting School, May 31, 2017, from 9:30-3:30 with both classroom and field training. It will be held at the University of AR Cossatot in Ashdown, AR.

TEXARKANA, Ark. –

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture in Miller, Lafayette and Little River Counties is offering a SW Arkansas Scouting School, May 31, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with both classroom and field training. It will be held at the University of Arkansas Cossatot, Ashdown, AR and will be conducted by University of Arkansas Specialists.

Topics include:

  • Wheat and Rice Update Regarding Insects and Diseases
  • Identifying and Controlling Insect Pests of Soybeans and Corn
  • Managing Diseases of Corn and Soybeans
  • Regulations and Tips for Scouting by Drones in Your Row Crop Operation
  • Field Demonstrations

Arkansas CEUs are available for CCA and Texas CEUs are available for private pesticide applicants.
