Gateway Farmers Market Producers and Volunteers Have Clean-Up Workday Scheduled

TEXARKANA, Ark. –

We are looking forward to another great year at the Gateway Farmers Market! 

 In order to start the year off right, we will have our Annual Market Cleanup Day 9:00 a.m., Saturday April 28, 2015.  Please make plans to attend and bring your working tools, such as hoes, rakes, shovels, safety goggles, etc.

 We will work on:

  • Clean signs
  • Repair/replace brackets to hold letters on sign
  • Organize storage room
  • Clean concrete floors
  • Clean landscaping and trim edges
  • Other items as needed

 See you at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015.

 Important Announcement!!!

 At the last Gateway Farmers Market Oversight Committee Meeting, the following was decided for the 2015 season:

  • We will follow the Arkansas Department of Health & Arkansas Agriculture Department Farmers’ Market Vendor Guide.
  • See the attached Farmers’ Market Quick Guide Reference.
    • Note!  You must have permit to sell shelled peas or nuts.
    • No sliced fruit or vegetables given as samples.
