FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fifteen faculty members of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station and the University of Arkansas’ Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences were recently recognized with milestone service awards.

The Agricultural Experiment Station is the research arm of the statewide University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. Most of the faculty have multiple appointments to Division of Agriculture and Bumpers College.

Faculty being recognized were:

  • 20-Year Award
    • Kris Brye, University Professor, crop, soil and environmental sciences
    • Lance Cheramie, instructor, apparel merchandising and product development, human environmental sciences
    • Casandra Cox, instructor, agricultural education, communications and technology
    • Fiona Goggin, professor, entomology and plant pathology
    • Timothy Killian, associate professor, human development and family sciences, human environmental sciences
    • Jeff Miller, professor, agricultural education, communications and technology
    • Harrison Pittman, director, National Agricultural Law Center
    • Nathan Slaton, associate vice president for agriculture and assistant director of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, and interim department head, crop, soil and environmental sciences
    • Vibha Srivastava, professor, crop, soil and environmental sciences
    • Allen Szalanski, professor, entomology and plant pathology
  • 10-Year Award
    • Jamie Baum, associate professor, food science
    • Christopher Henry, associate professor, Rice Research and Extension Center, biological and agricultural engineering
    • Mike Looper, department head, animal science
    • Andy Pereira, professor, crop, soil and environmental sciences
    • Ainong Shi, associate professor, horticulture
