Citizen committee to hear forest management plans, tour site at Pine Tree Station

EVENT: Forest management plan presentation, discussion, tour

WHEN: Noon, Thursday, Dec. 16

WHERE: Pine Tree Research Station, 7337 Highway 306 West, Colt, Arkansas 

 WHO: Local Citizens Committee, comprised of neighboring landowners, hunters, and those active in maintaining public access to the station.

WHAT: Forest researcher Dr. Kyle Cunningham and Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station Forester Mike McGowan will present plans for managing forestland at Pine Tree to encourage oak regeneration and a thriving wildlife population.
The plan is part of a statewide forest management plan for Division of Agriculture properties that has been peer-reviewed by the U.S. Forest Service, Arkansas Forestry Division of the state Department of Agriculture and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
