Property assessment webinars to begin June 22

LITTLE ROCK — With help from the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture’s Community and Economic Development Unit, Arkansans will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of property assessment.
The Community and Economic Development Unit, in collaboration with the Arkansas Assessment Coordination Department (AACD) and the Tax Division of the Arkansas Public Service Commission (PSC), has organized a webinar series to help government officials, local leaders and the public to better understand the property assessment process.
Participants will learn about procedures and methods for assessing different types of property, the legal limits of annual assessment increases and how to challenge property assessments.
Participation is free. The series will be broadcast through Zoom, an online video teleconference app. Each of the six one-hour webinars will cover:
- Overview of Property Assessments
- Agriculture and Forestry
- Personal Property
- Utility and Carrier
- Residential and Commercial Real Estate
- Recent Changes in Property Assessments
The webinar series will begin June 22.
