The workshop starts at 10 and runs until noon. The UAM College of Technology is at 1609 East Ash Street, next to McGehee High School on Arkansas Highway 1. There’s no cost to attend. Participants may RSVP by calling the Desha County Extension Office at 870-222-7265 and mentioning Pipe Planner.

The workshop will be led by Mike Hamilton, extension irrigation instructor for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, with agents from surrounding counties assisting.

“Pipe Planner is a great tool to help producers make the most of their water,” said Steve Kelley Drew County extension staff chair for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. “It’s much more user friendly than previous computerized tools – and it’s free.”
