FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — There’s more to growing grass than sitting around watching it.

Turfgrass Field Day 2014

A turfgrass field day Aug. 3 will demonstrate University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture research aimed at improved management systems for lawns, sports fields and golf courses.

The field day will include a trade show, field tours of horticulture department turfgrass plots and research presentations.

The field day will conclude with a barbecue lunch followed by a pesticide recertification class at 1 p.m.

Registration is $75. For turf companies sending groups, the fee is $75 for the first two attendees and additional persons are $35 each. The fee includes lunch, a Division of Agriculture Turfgrass hat and a book containing the technical information on division turfgrass research.
