“This is an opportunity for Arkansas cattlemen to take a closer look at issues directly affecting their business such as marketing and risk management,” said Danny Griffin, Van Buren County extension staff chair for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.

There will be talks from key speakers Derrell Peel, an ag economist with Oklahoma State, Daniel Scruggs, DVM, of Zoetis Pharmaceuticals, and Tim Daven of Commodity Risk Management. There will also be two sets of breakout sessions on topics including:

    • Calculating Breakeven for Making Buying & Selling Decisions - Tom Troxel, associate head, Animal Science, for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.
    • Leaving money on the table - Shane Gadberry, associate professor-ruminant nutrition for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.

Wrapped around the talks is a trade show and exhibits.
