Franks spent months working with NRCS agents and ranchers, farmers, agribusinesses, helping them learn the new USDA requirements for and how to create and update a Dun and Bradstreet DUNS number. Franks also worked with the groups on how to become registered as a federal vendor in the Systems for Award Management database to obtain USDA grants and payments.

“This is truly an honor to be selected for the State Conservationist Partnership Award for 2014.The partnership through the Division of Agriculture and the NRCS has assisted hundreds of Arkansas businesses, farmers and ranchers to grow through USDA grants and contract,” Franks said.

The Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center provides training and resources that help Arkansas businesses generate revenues and create or retain jobs for Arkansans through effective government contracting.
