Stone County Active 4-H Clubs

Ag and Natural Resources 4-H Club

Leaders: Amber Kennon & Brandy Stoltze

This project club dives into all aspects of agriculture and livestock projects with a heavy emphasis on natural resources. This club is enjoys hiking and wildlife education.

Fox Community Club

This club meets at Fox Community Park monthly. They learn about agriculture, livestock, art, gardening, and all kinds of member chosen projects.

Herpel Hill Club

Members get the opportunity to learn about nutrition and food safety, create recipes, and learn proper cooking skills.  Members will also do arts, crafts, community service and other 4-H projects.

Shooting Sports/ Archery 4-H Club

This club focuses on learning shooting sports safety, proper technique and accuracy. Group meets monthly, September through May. Current focus is on Archery, but soon Shotgun will be an option.

Stone County Cooking Club

This group meets monthly September through May at the Stone County Extension Office. They work on a variety of cooking skills such as baking cinnamon rolls, canning cranberry sauce, cooking eggs, etc.

Stone County Youth Leadership

Applications are due in early September for 8th & 9th grade students in public or homeschool living in Stone County. Focus is on developing leadership skills through public speaking, dining etiquette, team building, personality assessments, financial management, etc.

The University of Arkansas Master Gardeners in Stone County sponsor events that support youth gardening, plant therapy, work with hospitals, nursing homes, city beautification, and horticulture information.

Stone County Extension serves over 130 active 4-H youth in a variety of projects, including Food, Agriculture, Livestock, Wildlife, Community Service, and more. The Extension staff and 4-H volunteers support our clubs and other 4-H activities.
