Master Gardener:
The University of Arkansas Master Gardeners in Stone County help sponsor events that
support youth gardening, plant therapy, work with hospitals, nursing homes, city beautification,
and horticulture information.

Stone County Extension staff work with business and community leaders along with local
government officials to advance the growth of Stone County, residents and economy.

Stone County Extension Service serves over 190 active 4-H youth in a variety of projects
depending on the youth's interest such as Food, Nutrition, Livestock, Hippology, Community
Service and many more. The Extension staff and 4-H volunteers support the our clubs
and other 4-H activities.
Stone County Active 4-H Clubs:
Mountain View Community Project 4-H Club
Leader: Anna Harlan
This club is community service oriented. The club takes a special interest in community service and supporting the county fair through entries of crafts, horticulture and all species of livestock. The club meets monthly, generally at the EHC building.
Ag and Livestock 4-H Club
Leader: Amber Kennon
This project club focuses on all aspects of agriculture and livestock projects. This club is agriculture based with an emphasis on youth leadership skills and community service. They meet bi-monthly meetings, once for a formal business meeting with a program following, and once for a project activity or hands on educational program. Meetings are held in the Mountain View High School agriculture classroom or around the county for various hands on learning projects.
Herpel Hill Cooking Club
Leader: Telisha Tinkle
This is a project and community club that meets at the Stone County Extension office monthly. Members get the opportunity to learn about nutrition and food safety, creating recipes, and learn proper cooking skills. Member will also do arts, crafts, community service and other 4-H projects.
Robotics Club
Leader: Sally Brewer
This project club focuses on building robots and explores the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics field. This club meets bi-monthly at the Extension office.
Ben 4-H Club
Leader: Charlie Martin
Timbo 4-H Club
Leader: Jenifer Davis
This is a fairly new community club that will be meeting at the Timbo School.
Shooting Sports / Archery 4-H Club
Leader: Wes Morgan
This club focuses on learning shooting sports safety, proper technique and accuracy. This club meets bi-monthly during the school year.
