4-H Clubs Seek New Members

The Garland County 4-H Clubs are seeking new members.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Garland County 4-H Clubs are seeking new members.  The purpose of these clubs is to give the youth of Garland County, ages 5 to 19, an opportunity to participate in youth development educational programs of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.  

 Youth members in 4-H clubs will learn life service projects and have an opportunity to compete in a number of competitive activities throughout the year, attend camps and earn scholarships for education.  The following is a list of the current Garland County 4-H Clubs and the location and times they meet each month: 

 

Barnyard Clovers:  1st Monday at Jessieville School Cafeteria

Fountain Lake/Jessieville Area

Leaders:  Betsy Breshears/Lacie Wiley

 

Clever Clovers:  Reorganizing in the Hot Springs Area

Leader:  Annette Walters

 

Cool Clovers:  3rd Monday at Centerfork Baptist Church

Lake Hamilton Area 

Leader:  Lisa Driggers

 

Creative Clovers:  2nd Friday, Location Varies monthly-Home School Group

Leader:  Tonya Reck

 

Garland Gunners:  Seasonal- Contact Extension Office for Details

Shooting Sports Club (ages 9-19)

Leader:  Todd Orr

 

Garland County:  Last Thursday of month at Extension Office (ages 13-19)

Veterinary Science           Leader:  Linda Bates

 

Hot Springs Schools 4-H:   In-School Club.  Meets during school hours

Hot Springs Jr. Academy

Leader:  Aspen Ham

 

Teen Leaders:  Last Monday each month

Pinewood Clovers:  2nd Monday at Mountain Pine School Cafeteria

Mountain Pine Community

Spa City Clovers:  1st Tuesday at the Garland County Fairgrounds
