AgrAbility Purpose
The purpose of Arkansas' AgrAbility Project is to cultivate success in farmers, ranchers, farm workers, and their family members who are employed in agricultural production or agriculture-related occupations and have experienced their activities limited by any type of disability or chronic health condition.
AgrAbility links with non-profit disability service organizations to provide support, education and direct assistance which promote continued independent rural living and nurture the can-do spirit. Our staff work with our partners to provide practical solutions for farmers, ranchers and their families who work on small or large operations. We also serve part-time farm and ranch workers, seasonal operators and home gardening enthusiasts who are challenged by a disability or chronic health condition.

Arkansas AgrAbility seeks to empower people who have chosen agriculture as a way of life and wish to remain economically viable in their agricultural activities. We strive to navigate individuals and families through the process of obtaining assistance in the event of a disability or chronic illness. We support an individual's efforts to remain in production agriculture by connecting them to viable resources specific to their individual needs.
Additionally, we provide unique assessments of agricultural operations, small or large, and offer recommendations specific to the agricultural business type.
The Arkansas AgrAbility Project is administered and through the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
