Bare Root Contracting, LLC located in Fayetteville is a "Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business" specializing as a general contractor and project management company.
Their staff of four handles remodeling projects, home improvement jobs - including outdoor entertainment areas as well as managing projects that clients may already have underway. After a business name change and revamp, this is their third year in business as Bare Root Contracting, LLC.
Owner Doug Albert learned of the services offered by Arkansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) by attending a few government contracting courses taught by PTAC counselor Max Franks in northwest Arkansas. Albert became a PTAC client in 2017.
In December 2019, the company was awarded a state government contract with a retirement home. The contract consists of repainting the interior in its entirety. The home features 16 and 20-foot ceilings so they’ll be spending extensive time on scaffolding.
PTAC has assisted Albert and Bare Root in the following ways: interpreting government jargon, providing daily bid opportunities, and continues to provide regular email correspondence with quick response rates. Albert said that Franks is always eager to assist.
“If a business tries to accomplish government contracting without the assistance of PTAC and a counselor like Max Franks, I think they would fail,” Albert said. “Max is a guy I keep on my phone. He knows everything and has so much experience working with small businesses.”
Arkansas PTAC congratulates Bare Root Contracting, LLC on their government contracting success and wishes them continued success in the future.
