Action is a vital component of the strategic planning process. Action builds momentum, cultivates community buy-in, and illustrates impact.
The 2019 Breakthrough Solutions Pre-Conference Workshop, "Creating Connected Communities: A Hands-On Workshop for ARCO in Action,” will feature the three-county Arkansas Coalition for the Ouachitas as the pilot community.
This region, known as ARCO for short, includes Montgomery, Polk, and Scott counties. Local leaders will work alongside Breakthrough Solutions partners at the June 25 workshop to explore an action-oriented framework and toolkit designed for communities to transform strategic planning into strategic action.
Breakthrough Solutions partners are touring each community before hosting a community conversation with community leaders/stakeholders to identify assets and possible opportunities. At the pre-conference workshop in June, Breakthrough Solutions partners will present their findings and lead small group discussions with workshop participants, using new tools to identify strategies and opportunities in more depth.
In addition to the working session, pre-conference guests will experience the following activities:
Guests are also invited to stay for the weekly Stand-up Comedy Show which begins at 8 p.m. The pre-conference workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 25, starting at the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. Learn more about the 2019 Breakthrough Solutions Pre-Conference Workshop here.
Participants are encouraged to attend the 2019 Breakthrough Solutions Conference the following day, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Four Points by Sheraton Midtown Hotel in Little Rock.
The conference will feature a variety of activities and events including keynote speaker, Matt Dunne, executive director of the Center for Rural Innovation in Vermont, who will speak on creating digital ecosystems in rural areas to support entrepreneurs, unleash ideas, and leverage talent.
