APAC Success Story Elite Trucking, LLC

by Kim Magee - October 5, 2018

Elite Trucking, LLC, owned by Bridgett Perkins, was started in 2015 in Bryant. Elite Trucking is a commercial and residential hauling company and is certified as a minority, woman-owned small business. The company’s standard business consists of hauling dirt, rocks, sand, gravel, and things of that nature.

Perkins learned of the assistance offered by APAC via a networking event sponsored by the Department of Transportation. Upon leaving that event, Perkins conducted some follow up research on APAC and became an active client in January 2018.

After being a client for just six months, Elite was awarded their first government contract with the Little Rock Air Force Base. Perkins credits APAC counselor, Mary Love, with making her aware of this particular bid opportunity and assisting her in successfully bidding for and being awarded the contract.

APAC Program Technician Alyssa Huber assisted Perkins with the company’s registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). APAC Procurement Counselor Debra Garcia worked closely with Perkins to assist the company with the complex world of Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), the Department of Defense’s online payment system. Garcia also provided Perkins with various ways to search for government opportunities.

Perkins has registered for and attended several trainings provided by APAC and found them to be very informative.

“APAC puts you in front of the right people and provides invaluable one on one assistance,” she said.

Elite Trucking just added their second dump truck to its fleet and is looking to grow and expand the business even more.
