HUBZone is a Small Business Administration program for small companies that operate
and employ people in Historically Underutilized Business Zones.
Some of the benefits to being HUBZone certified are:
- Companies are eligible to bid on set-aside contracts limiting the scope of competition
to only HUBZone-certified firms.
- A 10% pricing advantage over competition bidding on the same government contract.
- All branches of the Federal Government have a 3% HUBZone budgetary target. This means
that federal agencies are in constant need of HUBZone qualified firms to perform on
contracts to meet these budgetary targets.
