Social Entrepreneurship – Addressing Important Issues in Innovative Ways

by Mark Peterson - April 23, 2018

If you are ready for a fresh approach from the old debate between those who claim government is the answer and those who say the private sector is the answer, you are in for a real treat - social entrepreneurship.

Social entrepreneurship is the use of start-up companies and other entrepreneurs to develop, fund and implement solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues. They may be non-profits or for-profits, and often they are in partnership with public agencies. At our conference you will hear three incredible stories of social entrepreneurship:

* Tacos4Life – a new restaurant chain that started in Conway with a mission to help end childhood hunger around the world. For every meal you purchase, Tacos4Life will donate a meal to Feed My Starving Children, an organization with outreach in several nations.

* An assisted living center in Forrest City that brought 55 jobs and a $1 million annual payroll to the community.

* The story of Southern Bancorp and how they build wealth and assets in low income communities.

Join us at the Breakthrough Solutions Conference in June to learn how social entrepreneurship can empower citizens and community leaders to tackle tough issues in new ways.
