APAC Welcomes New Program Manager

by Kristin Higgins - February 27, 2017

Melanie Berman has been named the new program manager for the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center, or APAC

Berman most recently worked at an international nonprofit in the field of program management and awards management. She also serves on a Little Rock volunteer commission that works to foster relationships between the capital city and cities around the globe through promoting cross-cultural understanding and exchanges.

"I am excited to work for an organization that provides clients with government contracting trainings and resources to help their businesses generate revenue and create or retain jobs," Berman said.

She has a background in both government contracting and cooperative agreements and has a master's degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and a bachelor's from the university. Berman said she looks forward to working with APAC staff and clients. She can be contacted at 501-671-2003 or by emailing msberman@uada.edu.

APAC provides training and resources that help Arkansas businesses generate revenues and thereby create or retain jobs for Arkansans through effective government contracting. APAC serves Arkansas businesses in all 75 counties at no charge. County Extension Staff Chairs in each county help to connect the program to the local community.
